The Inaugural Oktoberfest Classic has arrived!

Planning started in March and now it’s here.  Our first fundraiser for the Family Life Pantry.  It’s exciting to see it all come together.  Many members have worked hard to make this golf fundraiser a success.

I want to extend a huge thank you to our sponsors for the tournament.  Their generosity is amazing and sets us up for success going into our second year with the Family Life Pantry.

We had six Eagle Sponsors: Batesville Electric, Meyers-Davis, Embroidery & Beyond, Thrivent, Lutheran Church Extension Fund, and National Safety Solutions.

We had three Birdie Sponsors: FARCO, Peco, and Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church

And many hole sponsors, I think 14 local businesses stepped up to support this work.

We have a lot of people both from our Church and the community who have stepped forward to help us run this tournament. Today children from Independence County 4-H came and helped put together our goodie bags.

Twenty teams will descend upon Eagle Mountain golf course this Friday for good food and drinks,  win some prizes, bid on some auction items, and most importantly, support families in raising up children. Interested in the silent auction items?  They range from sports memoriabilia and jewelry and even trips.  Come out and place a bid!  Thank you for support.

May God be praised! Amen.
